Notes:

The battery life quoted above is provided by the manufacturer.  Actual life will vary from above depending on what you are doing with your HPC.

All units include ac/dc adapter jacks. Each unit can use 2AA batteries or NiMH rechargeables and includes a backup battery (cr2032).

Each unit also has a speaker capable of playing .wav files natively.

The touch screens on all systems are passive, so you can use any stylus you want.

The NEC Mobilepro can not charge NiMH batteries in the unit, they must be recharged in an external charger.

While using the Philips Velo's internal modem, your speed will be reduced by approximately 20 to 30%, however battery life is longer than a traditional modem.

The LG and Hitachi units can be used as a telephone with the optional internal modem and headset.

The Nec CPU (Vr4101) can support up to 8mb of ram and 16mb of rom.

The Hitachi CPU (SH3) can support up to 16mb of ram and 24mb of rom.

The Philips CPU (MP3910) can support up to 32 mb of additional ram or rom and 64 mb of flash.

LG Electronics is manufacturing Hitachi's HPC.

Casio is manufacturing Compaq's HPC.

Windows CE 2.0 requires a minimum of 4mb of ram.
