Article: Office 2007 FAQs - How to configure the default save format for Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Recently Microsoft sent Office 2007 to manufacturing.  So I began some testing with it.  I found that there are changes to the default save file format to allow you to open Office files on your Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE or Windows Mobile 5.0 device.  Please note that Pocket Office formats (.PXL and .PWD) are not supported.  So here are the FAQs on how to change the default file save formats to be compatible with your Windows Mobile device.

To sync with Office 2007, you need to use Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista and ActiveSync 4.5 (currently in beta) for Windows XP and 2000.

Articles:  Windows Mobile Device Center FAQs

Recently Microsoft sent Vista to manufacturing.  So I'm sure you want to know how to synchronize your Windows Mobile device with Vista.  Well Microsoft decided to migrate from ActiveSync to the new Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC).  These articles are based on WMDC Beta 3 which only supports Vista RC1.  However I successfully installed WMDC on the RTM version of Windows Vista Ultimate Edition for x86.
