PDAsLostorStolen.com Expands Coverage to Include Wireless Modems

DES MOINES, IOWA � The Signal and PDAsLostorStolen.com, the first provider
of comprehensive insurance specifically for the PDA, officially announced
the inclusion of select wireless PDA modems to their comprehensive insurance
package.  Similar to the price structure for the PDA program, the cost of
insurance is dependent on the suggested retail price of the modem.
	The modems added to the insurance program include five models from Novatel
Wireless, Inc. and the VisorPhone from Handspring, Inc.  Four of the five
Novatel Wireless modems, the Minstrel 540 for the HP Jornada 540 Series
Pocket PC, the Minstrel S for the Handspring Visor, the Minstrel V for the
Palm V, and the Minstrel III for the Palm III, as well as the VisorPhone
from Handspring, will cost $4.99 a month to insure.  The Merlin Type II PC
Card from Novatel will cost $3.99 a month to insure.
	�One of the most frequently asked questions since we started this program
back in November of 2000, is if, and when we will start to insure the
wireless modems,� said Dale Fisher, President of Internet Marketing, Inc.,
the marketing agent behind the program.  �Wireless modems are a natural
progression for this program because the two units are used in conjunction
with each other and therefore what happens to one, often happens to the
other.�
	The comprehensive insurance package covers individuals against nearly all
situations including theft, loss or damage to the modem or handheld device.
The Signal charges a deductible of $50 for claims filed for both the modem
and the PDA, while claims for either of the two units independently is $35.
	The Signal, one of the nation�s largest wireless phone insurance providers,
offers insurance and administers the program.  It is underwritten by the
Insurance Company of North America and available exclusively online at
www.pdaslostorstolen.com a web storefront developed by Internet Marketing,
Inc.
	To be eligible for the insurance program for the wireless modem, the
customer must also insure their handheld device through the website
www.pdaslostorstolen.com.  For current customers of PDAsLostorStolen.com,
they can add units to their policy, including modems and additional PDA
devices from the members website, www.pdagoldclub.com.
