P. If you enter the umlaut "A" character, font "Times New Roman" 9 point, the umlaut symbol will dissappear on the screen.

S. Any character using an umlaut or a tilde does not display properly below a 10 pt size. This is limitation of the LCD not the operating system. No correction at this time (12/30/97).

The AC adapter for use with the A-20 is the AD-C50200U. It does not require a cradle, and plugs directly into the AC jack on the left side.

P.I can't open the backup battery cover.

S.Insert the stylus tip into the small hole near the cover. Then slide the cover back.

P.I used infrared to transfer some contacts from my older H/PC with Windows CE 1.0 to the A-20. What used to be listed on CE 1.0's Contacts as "Category" shows up in 2.0's Contacts, but it causes a "low memory" error message when the drop-down arrow next to it is clicked twice.

S.Change the "category" field to something else, as it is not actually supported by Windows CE 2.0. Then click the Notes button, and enter the category in the category list.

P.Random pixels appear across the card images in the solitaire game.

S.No correction at this time (12/30/97).

P.Why does the contact scheduler change appointment times when I change reference time? Example: Set appointment for 9:00AM, Friday, while unit is using Eastern Standard Time zone. Then later switch to Pacific Time zone, go back to appointment area, and magically all of the appointment times are shifted 3 hours.

S.Microsoft has not announced any changes to this application (as of 1/14/98).

P.The backlight won't turn on even though unit is on AC power.

S.This happens when battery power is low. To correct this, install the Casio Service Pack from the Bonus Software CD included with the unit. The backlight can then be used with AC power regardless of the status of battery power.

P.With Windows CE 2.0, I get an error that ActiveSync can't synchronize with the corresponding components on the device.

S.If this has occurred shortly after restoring an old backup file, then there might be a problem with the backup file. Perform a full reset, but do not restore your old backup. You should then be able to synchronize.

P.Whenever I connect my Cassiopeia, my dial-up connection to my Internet service provider appears.

S.On the desktop PC, open the Internet Control Panel, select the Connection tab and disable the Auto Connect feature as follows. If you are using Internet Explorer version 3.x, clear the check box next to the "Connect to the Internet as needed" field. If you are using Internet Explorer 4.x, select "Connect to the Internet using a local area network."

P.I cannot dial out to the Internet on a Windows 95 computer while the Cassiopeia is connected.

S.Install the Dial-Up Networking 1.2 upgrade, which can be found on the Desktop. Software for Windows CE CD-ROM under Optional Components.
